What is StayActive?

StayActive is a device that corrects bad posture either when sitting or standing (also when you walk!): once it has been worn, and calibrated through the app, StayActive warns you if you have a bad posture with a slight vibration.

StayActive is attentive to the patient: it doesn’t vibrate “because you are bent”, it will vibrate only when it’s really needed! It’s counterproductive to be obliged to remain motionless for hours, although keeping your back straight, but it isn’t changing position often, maintaining a proper posture.

How does it work?

Wear it

Wear your StayActive on your shirt or t-shirt using the complimentary magnetic clasp.

Set it

Calibrate your StayActive using your app StayUp in three position: best posture, leaning on the seatback and leaning on the desk.

Use it

Your StayActive will gently vibrate when you slouch away from right postures calibrated within the app and with the help of the Istituto Scientifico Italiano Colonna Vertebrale (ISICO).

FAQs

How and where do I wear my StayActive?

StayActive should be worn about two fingers below your collarbone. The larger sensor portion is worn underneath your clothes, while the magnetic clasp goes on the outside of a shirt or undershirt to hold StayActive in place. Be sure to align your StayActive with the app every time you reposition it, change your clothing or change the chair.

Is the StayActive water-resistant?

StayActive is highly sweat- and water-resistant. However, it is not fully waterproof, so please do not submerge your StayActive in water or put it in a washing machine (we’ve tried with a dryer and everything is fully functional also at high temperature but don’t be so stupid to leave StayActive in your trousers!).

Will StayActive track my posture while moving?

Yes! StayActive tracks and provides vibrational coaching feedback on posture while in stationary positions, such as sitting and standing. It also tracks your posture when walking. StayActive does not track or providing posture feedback during activities such as running or driving but we’re studying to do it! Wait for us!
